Ant Colony

I designed and ran a workshop with Coniston Church of England Primary School and a older member of the community to encourage conversation about climate change.

Individually, ants make an very small difference, but together they are very powerful. Often, people feel overwhelmed by climate change and feel that they can’t make a difference. But as long as everyone does what they can, a real difference can be achieved.

I facilitated conversations about what people can do to mitigate the impact of climate change. They all created a leaf with a pledge on, something they could do to reduce their impact on the climate.

The leaves were then attached to copper wire ants and exhibited in the The Ruskin Museum and Coniston Institute.
