Art: Community: Play
Visual Artist, Workshop developer, Project Manager
I am an artist who creates art and runs workshops to inspire people to improve the world, environmentally & socially.
I draw, paint, film, photograph, create installations and community projects. I am inspired by people, by their thoughts, their stories, their memories and the objects they keep.
I am based in Edinburgh but work across Scotland and Cumbria.
I work at the charity Whale Arts helping to manage the adult and young people programmes. I am lead artist on one of their creative groups, Smartcraft which is a group for adult with additional needs.
I run regular creative workshops with the Edinburgh Remakery. I regularly work at public events, from big town centre events, festivals to smaller community events.
I have over 10 years’ experience in event and project management and marketing, from running my own arts projects and working with organisations.
I have a fine art degree from Central Saint Martins, London and diploma in Social Enterprise Leadership (Arts and Cultural Leadership) with University of Cumbria and the Brathay Trust.
I Make Art
i Run Workshops
I design and run workshops for everyone.
I have run workshops for children, adults and older people, for people with learning disabilities, for neurodiverse people, and for ex-offenders.
I have run workshops in community spaces, in schools, in care homes, in hospitals, at approved premises, during festivals and events, in my own space.
I run workshops which bring whole communities together by being accessible, inclusive and relaxed.
i Design Community Projects
I design and run projects which bring people together creatively.
They are developed to strengthen communities and inspire people.
I often work with organisations and community groups to develop projects which meet their needs and objectives.
