Myriad Studio is a social group for artists and general public to be creative in a sociable, playful and relaxed way. The sessions are for everyone, you do not need any ‘artistic skill’, just an open mind!
Our next session is on Tuesday 11th July when we will be decorating fabric patches featuring something you love about Cumbria to add to the Cumbria people’s patchwork!
The people’s patchwork being created by The Quilters Guild and BBC Cumbria to celebrate 50 years of local radio sewing communities together.
You create a 10″/25cm patch featuring something you love about the county…sheep…fells…the warehouse…the A6…kendal mint cake..whatever you like!
Then it will be sent off to be added to the quilt which will tour libraries in Cumbria.
We will have load of materials to make a collage with and fabric pens so you have a good ole’ draw, and don’t worry there is no pressure to complete it on the day or to send it off to be added to the quilt!
Join us at Penrith Old Fire Station, Tuesday 13th June, 6pm-8pm.
It is £3 on the door and as ever, the bar will be running and there will be lovely people to chat to!
Myriad Studio was launched in December 2016, so far we have ran drawing, crocheting and ceramic sessions, created a large fire engine, made electric sculptures and learnt how to monoprint! Each month it has been growing and getting more exciting!
